THE ATELIERS
Made in Italy, by people we know by name.
Made in Italy, by people we know by name.
Every Victoria Slavinskaia piece is made in Italy, in independent ateliers we have chosen one by one. Each is a specialist in a single discipline, in the region where that discipline has been practised for generations.
We do not work with a single factory. From the first prototype to the finished garment, our collections are developed through close relationships with the people who make them. Ready-to-wear is produced between Campania and Emilia-Romagna, outerwear in Veneto, hats between Tuscany and Marche, and our packaging in Puglia.
Most of our prototypes are cut and refined with the same tailor who made our very first piece. Together, they represent different expressions of Italian savoir-faire and a shared commitment to making things well. This is what we mean when we say luxury is personal.
READY TO WEAR
Our silk and leather pieces are made by two ateliers in southern and central Italy.
In Campania, a family-run studio develops each garment from pattern to finished piece. Its sartorial origins remain central to the way garments are approached today, with pattern making, prototyping, construction and final production handled by one technical team.
In Emilia-Romagna, we work with an atelier founded in 1980 that has spent more than forty years working at the high end of the market, bringing industrial precision to small quantities.
Our outerwear is made in Veneto by an atelier that has worked with shearling since 1973. The skins are still cut and assembled largely by hand, with the same tools used fifty years ago. What has changed is the experience of the people holding them.
By working with different ateliers according to their particular expertise, we can give each garment the time, knowledge and technical attention its construction requires.
HEADWEAR
Hats have been part of Victoria Slavinskaia from the beginning.
Our first prototypes were created in Tuscany with an independent tailor with more than forty years of experience. Over her career, she worked on prototypes for internationally recognised Italian, French and British fashion houses. She was one of the first people to translate Victoria Slavinskaia designs from drawings into physical pieces, and we continue to work together on many of our prototypes today.
Production is entrusted to an Italian manufacturer founded in 1973 in the Marche hills, with more than fifty years of history in knitwear and hat making. It combines the hand of the artisan with the precision of the machine, with dedicated expertise in both knitwear and millinery.
This combination of individual craftsmanship and specialised production allows us to preserve what matters most to our headwear: proportion, construction and the character created by the human hand.
PACKAGING
The way a piece is presented is considered part of the product itself.
Our packaging — the silk hat care bags, clutch bags and tote bags — is made in Puglia by an Italian company founded in 1974 that has worked exclusively for the textile and fashion industry ever since.
The packaging in which our pieces arrive forms part of the same story. Each element is designed to be kept, not discarded.
